Environmental Protection

Environmental Protection

AstapovLawyers is unique in its ability to bring substantial expertise and experience in any area of environmental protection law. Our team is intimately familiar with the complex schemes of production and safety regulation in metallurgical, chemical, mining and nuclear industries.

We regularly counsel companies on environmental compliance and the environmental aspects of acquisitions, international trade and real property transactions.

Our practice encompasses obtaining governmental approvals for new production lines and products, representing clients before the governmental agencies to obtain regulatory interpretations and clarifications, advising clients on compliance obligations and implementing company compliance programs, as well as pursuing judicial challenges to agency actions. A lot of such work relates to FDI transactions.

AstapovLawyers provide practical answers to domestic and foreign manufacturers and formulators and their trade associations. We also have considerable experience in environmental auditing and other corporate compliance activities.

Our group specializes in regulatory and economic issues arising out of international environmental protection laws. AstapovLawyers have successfully advised Ministry of Ecology of Ukraine in international disputes and litigations on oil pollution damages.
