AstapovLawyers International Law Group successfully protected the interests of a major Swiss vegetable oils trader in FOSFA arbitration proceedings.

The dispute between a Swiss vegetable oils trader and one of the biggest Ukrainian vegetable oil processing plants arose from a contract for delivery of sunflower oil. The amount in dispute exceeded USD 2.5 million.

The matter was handled by AstapovLawyers Counsel Mr. Eugene Blinov.

Mr. Blinov comments: "It is very important that businesses arrange proper documentary management while performing their transactions. In the event problems occur it may be quite difficult for a party to prove its case if the necessary documents are lost or transferred to third parties. Despite such problems with our client we managed to demostrate to the Tribunal and thereafter to the Umpire that our client's claim was fully proven and documented albeit using secondary evidence."
